Avenue Garage, Swanage

As of February 1st  2016, the Historic Engine Co Ltd. moved into Avenue Garage, here in Swanage, Dorset. As mentioned before (  here  ), the garage has been operating almost continuously since the early to mid 20's. We are very proud to have the opportunity to continue the garage's long history as well as taking a step back in time as we continue our vintage work alongside modern routine maintenance and repairs. We even sell petrol and diesel complete with an attendant service... just like it used to be! As we settle in, it is hoped that we will be able to open the garage for weekend visits by car and motorcycle clubs and anyone who might be interested in the automotive history receiving attention in our workshop. Please do not hesitate to email if you would like to arrange an individual or club visit, we would be very pleased to welcome you on a Saturday or Sunday with a warm cup of tea or coffee. We are only a ten minute walk or a minutes drive from Swanage's lovely bea...

Here we have some photos of the Gloria's continued paint preparation with a little darker blue than previously. The blue in the picture looks a little darker than real life and the Old English White looks a little lighter. I held a white paper next to the white to try and illustrate this.
